Program Management
SMSI’s Program Management best practices include entire program lifecycles and focus heavily on early strategy and conceptual development work providing the best foundation for program execution plans. We offer deeply experienced Program Managers with experts from key functional groups supporting program execution (Engineering, Supply Chain, Project Controls, Estimating, Safety, Quality, and other functions as needed). SMSI Program Management focuses on clear explanation of program goals and requirements, thorough upfront planning, carefully overseeing execution and implementation, and delegating appropriately ensuring customer projects meet priority goals. Throughout program execution, dedicated stock-takes revisiting program goals and requirements are utilized to ensure positive performance. Once the program has a well establish strategy for each Project to include scope, budget, schedule, and acquisition plans, we move into Project Management.
Portfolio Management
SMSI’s Portfolio Management involves executing the strategy and schedule for a specific project per the Program Strategy. Our experienced Project Managers are responsible for all operations within an individual project. This can include managing deadlines, maintaining project cost and schedule, and delegating tasks to team members (typically through Engineering, Supply Chain, Project Controls, Safety and Quality and others as needed). Additionally, Project Managers report to Portfolio Managers ensuring their work continues our customers down a path of success and goal achievements.
